This is the video highlight on the construction progress of Package 3, Construction of Water Treatment Plant and Supply & Installation of Raw Water & Treated Water Pumps), a part of the SIEM REAP WATER SUPPLY EXPANSION PROJECT, under a Japanese Official Development Assistance (ODA) loan granted by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). As of May 2021, the progress has reached to almost 50% completion. The plant will purify the clean water 60,000 m3/day to meet the needs of local people and business in relation to tourism industry such as hotels, guesthouses and restaurants. The Employer of project is Siem Reap Water Supply Authority, main contractor Kobelco-Eco Solutions, and the subcontractor SOMA Construction & Development has been constructing on the scope of works and expect to be completed in 2022.
